| Artist of the House is a small
painting business started by accident by me, John Mitchell. After
working for more than 7 years at various area businesses (Cape Paint
& Glass, Color World, Riverside Lumber, Wolohan Lumber) I tired
of retail. I decided to leave my managerial position to search for
something else. During my search, I started to fix up my house. My
wife had quite a large "honey do" jar. After seeing the
painting I had done on my own home, a family friend asked me to do
some painting for her. She liked my work and gave my name to her real
estate associate. I worked on the agent's personal home and then completed
several "makeovers" on other real estate properties. The
agent shared my name with others in the business and, well, that's
how it all began. Suddenly, I was a full-time painter. That was over
10 years ago. And, if I do say so myself, I'm older, wiser, and having
a great time making peoples homes beautiful. |
